It is particularly suited for all types of custom-built optical microscopes, replacing traditionally used opto-mechanical components systems (eg. Thorlabs or Optoform cage systems) or commercial microscope bodies.

The head is designed for easy integration with external optical components and sub-systems: light sources, detectors, imaging optics etc.
